I was in Nashville driving on the freeway with my songwriting mate Ron. There was a huge billboard advertisement, showing a woman wearing some fancy lingerie and the store name was Dangerous Threads. We both looked at each other and said "That's a song!".

Dangerous Threads

The neon buzzed and the pool balls cracked
The heat burned out the thermostat
Standing by the door, leaning back on the bar
Flash and curves, like a fine guitar.
She had a skirt slit higher than the national debt
And stockings as hot as a black Corvette
Through the cigarette smoke she flashed baby blues
Her come-here smile really lit my fuse
Dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
Leather and lace turn my head
Nothing gets me like dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
Stacking the odds with tequila gold
I said "Hey, let's you and me rock and roll".
On the dance floor, she set me all aflame
Then she sent me home, I never got her name.
Dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
Leather and lace turn my head
Nothing gets me like dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
I never should have let her into my heart
She’s the kinda girl to rip my soul apart
But I never pay attention to my mind, instead
I play with fire and love and dangerous threads
Fire and love and dangerous threads.
Dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
Leather and lace will turn my head
Nothing gets me like dangerous threads
Dangerous threads
