The mountains of Colorado have always been an inspiration for me. I spent a week at Williams Creek campground outside Pagosa Springs with my guitar and Siberian Husky, and this song resulted. By the way, I didn't really care about the game, but I REALLY wanted my music tapes back.

Lyrics

Goodbye Is All That's Left To Say
© Felicito Guerrero, 1995

Yesterday I walked where we used to go
I sat by that stream where your favorite flowers grow
Shadows creeping on the ground
Like cold reality turning me upside down.
You and I were lifelong lovers, the closest of friends
But now like classic tragedy, we've reached a bitter end.
I've gone over all the reasons. Did we have to end this way?
But it looks like goodbye is all there's left to say

I knocked at your door to get my last things
Some pictures and a game we would play on rainy days
Then on the steps of our old home
We were face to face as cold as mountain stone
You and I were lifelong lovers, the closest of friends
But now like classic tragedy, we've reached a bitter end.
I've gone over all the reasons. Did we have to end this way?
But it looks like goodbye is all there's left to say

So many things you mean to say get choked up inside
When you reach the last goodbye
You and I were lifelong lovers, the closest of friends
But now like classic tragedy, we've reached a bitter end.
I've gone over all the reasons. Did we have to end this way?
But it looks like goodbye is all there's left to say

I've gone over all the reasons time and time again
I guess you and I are really at an end.
