From the recording Forever Saskatoon
Naturally, there was an Annie that inspired this song but her name wasn't Annie.

Annie Didn't Like To Be Alone
© Felicito Guerrero, 1992
Annie left Montana back in Nineteen Ninety-Three
Her long hair waving gently in the Chinook breeze
She was 18 pushing 30 so on graduation day
She cussed her drunken daddy, wished him an early grave
She didn't take her mama, she had problems of her own
Though Annie didn't like to be alone
She drove fast to Texas where everyone's your friend
But sleeping at a KOA was a hard way to begin
Annie wasn't cut out for no businesswoman's world
She saw a job just out of town bringing drinks with topless girls
She had a brother in Beaumont, but her last dime stuck in the phone
And Annie didn't like to be alone
She got good at mixing liquor but never showed no skin
She kept a tight grip on her money and an arm's length from the men
Johnny was her sweetheart, he never did her wrong
Said he'd follow her to Texas, he wouldn't be too long
She kept his ring on her finger and his picture on the wall
But Annie didn't like to be alone
Annie'd been in Texas just about a year
His letters kept coming but she wanted Johnny near
So she rode a Silver Eagle straight through the night
Rang the doorbell at Johnny's house but something wasn't right
And when a voice called from the bedroom Johnny's cover was blown
And Annie didn't like to be alone
Oh, it might have never happened if he hadn't treated her so cold
But Annie didn't like to be alone
Though she served some time in prison, she earned a quick parole
See Annie was a good girl, just one time she lost control
Now once a year she goes north with what little she can save
And sets a spray of flowers on dear Johnny's grave
And with a tear on her face she says, "Damn you" to his stone
'Cause Annie didn't like to be alone
Annie left Montana back in Nineteen Ninety-Three
Her long hair waving gently in the Chinook breeze
She was 18 pushing 30 so on graduation day
She cussed her drunken daddy, wished him an early grave
She didn't take her mama, she had problems of her own
Though Annie didn't like to be alone
Annie didn't like to be alone
No Annie didn't like to be alone
