I had been away from Texas for a couple of years and REALLY missed the great foods of our state, like enchiladas, chicken fried steak, and especially BarBQ. When I returned to Texas for a short visit, one of my good friends promised he would crank up the smoker and make brisket, ribs, and fried okra. I wrote this song on the way to his house.
